PRIVACY NOTICE – WELSH GOVERNMENT IMAGE LIBRARY

In our remit as data controller, the Welsh Government uses the images received for the below purposes. These purposes are carried out with a clear consent from you (the model release form) to process your personal data (image) for a specific purpose.

1. These purposes are:

All Assets must be used strictly for the positive promotion and marketing of tourism and/or inward investment to Wales. The Assets may be used on the following channels or platforms: Publications, Presentations, Exhibitions, Displays, Social Media and Websites

2. Who do we share your information with?

Personal information (Name, Address, Contact Details) held by the Welsh Government will not be shared with third parties. Images can be distributed under Crown Copyright for the positive promotion of Wales (Conditions apply). Where the images in the library contain people or identifiable locations, these are also permitted to be distributed under Crown Copyright.

3. How long will we keep your information?

Welsh Government will keep your data on its image library for use for the purposes identified in Section 1 (above). The contents of the image library will be reviewed every five years and any images deemed no longer suitable for use will be removed and destroyed.

4. Your rights in relation to your information/data

You have the right to:

Access to the Personal data that we are processing about you;
Require us to rectify inaccuracies in that data;
The right (in certain circumstances) to object to processing;
The right for your data to be ‘erased’;
Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) who is our independent regulator for data protection.
